Undergraduate research project: Studying the complexation of a novel molecule to selected metal cations and deriving its binding constant to Hg+2 from fluorescence measurements. Advisor: Dr. Galit Parvari, Prof. E. Keinan’s group.

Research topic: Microstructure evolution and thermal stability of calcium-manganese-oxide based materials for thermoelectric applications.

My research focuses on CaO(CaMnO3)m-based thermoelectric materials, which are stable at high temperatures and relatively inexpensive. We investigate the microstructure evolution and address both kinetic and thermodynamic issues, analyze its reflection on electronic and thermal transport properties, aiming at optimization of the thermoelectric performance.
