The modern classroom is constantly evolving, and with it, the methods by which we assess and test students. In this seminar, we will examine the most popular assessment methods used in higher education and their effectiveness. We will discuss traditional exams, project-based assessments, peer and self-assessment, and other methods, exploring the advantages and disadvantages of each. The seminar will also focus on the benefits of combining different assessment methods to accommodate different learning styles and improve student outcomes. Participants will learn how to choose the right assessment tools for their students, how to design and implement effective assessments, and how to use technology to enhance the assessment process. This seminar is designed for educators, at all levels, who want to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in assessment, and who are interested in exploring the benefits of using a variety of assessment tools in their classes in the era of changing reality.
We will be joined by Dr. Aviv Censor and Dr. Adi wolf from the Faculty of Mathematics at the Technion, who will share their own experience and give live examples of combining assessment methods in the math courses they teach.
