Solid State Thermodynamics Group is located in Materials Science & Engineering Faculty in Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (IIT), which is located in Haifa, northern Israel. Our Group is focused on studying the thermodynamics and kinetics of nanostructured and interface-dominated materials, and on exploring the mechanical properties of materials on the nanoscale.
Our goals: To be the main knowledge center in Israel in the field of Physical Metallurgy
- To develop an integrative and scale-bridging approach in Materials Engineering, combining experimental studies with mesoscale analytic modeling and atomistic computer simulations
- To develop novel materials for hydrogen storage
- To spread our knowledge to students
- To assist the Israeli industry
