Prospective candidates are expected to have a PhD or equivalent degree in Materials Science and Engineering, or in a closely related field (Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering), and to have proven their ability to conduct high quality materials-oriented research following their PhD. Successful candidates are expected to establish an independent research group, to acquire research funding from competitive sources, to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching activities, and to participate in the Departmental administrative activities. The instruction at the Technion is mainly conducted in Hebrew and knowledge of, or the willingness to learn, Hebrew is expected.
